A Clear Solution for Straighter Smiles in Woodstock
For many adult patients, whether or not they get orthodontic care hinges on how it will affect their lifestyle and aesthetics. Fortunately, clear aligners offer the perfect solution to both concerns.
Clear aligners are simple, effective, and fit easily into your routine. They're removable for eating, drinking, and cleaning, so there are no food restrictions and oral hygiene stays hassle-free.
Additionally, because they are clear, these aligners are hardly noticeable in your mouth. Most people you encounter day-to-day won't even notice you have them in.
At Woodstock Orthodontics, we are proud to offer both Spark® and Angel Aligners as options for adult patients.
Orthodontic Care is for Everyone
It's never too late to start your orthodontic journey! If you're an adult who has been living with misalignments and bite problems since childhood, orthodontic treatment can be life-changing.
More About Orthodontics for AdultsHow Clear Aligners Meet the Needs of Adult Patients
Smooth, Removable Aligners
Clear aligners are made with a smooth, lightweight plastic that is designed to cause less friction against the soft tissues of your mouth than the metal brackets of braces can cause. Plus, since they're removable, you can take them out to eat, brush, and floss, leaving these daily routines unaffected by treatment.
Low-Profile Aesthetic
One of the biggest draws to clear aligners is simply that they are clear, and are nearly invisible when worn. Many adult patients decide to undergo orthodontic treatment they may have been putting off because clear aligners have resolved their aesthetic concerns.
Fewer Visits to the Orthodontist
Unlike metal braces, clear aligners don't need to be adjusted. This means there's no need to visit our office for adjustment appointments – just the occasional checkup.
The Clear Aligner Process at Woodstock Orthodontics
Clear aligners are designed to straighten teeth by applying gentle, consistent pressure to them over a period of time.
Treatment begins with your orthodontist taking a scan of your mouth from which your series of custom clear aligners will be made. Each aligner is made to perform a unique and important role in your treatment timeline. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks, and is then switched out for the next aligner in the series, until the desired results are achieved.
